Media Center - Webkinz Jr.^™ Awards

Designed to inspire imagination and creativity,webkinzjr.com has age appropriate play and activities, available in different skill levels which are set and adjusted by parents. Music and audio support help preschoolers play and learn as they visit the Acorn Academy, the Park, Caring Centre, Playhouse and of course, home. Large, huggable plush pets have a secret code so parents may set up each child's account, as well as their own Parental Account. The virtual version of the pet is activated when adopted on the site.

 

WEBKINZ JR. SITE WINS CTTC BEST BET AWARD

November 2009 – Canadian Toy Testing Council awarded Webkinz Jr. the Best Bet Award for its site designed for kids ages 3 to 6. The Council states, "The associated website is bright, cheerful and easy to use. This toy is welcomed by children who yearn for a Webkinz of their own – so they can be just like their older siblings."

June 2009 – Children's Technology Review awarded Webkinz Jr. the Editor's Choice Award for its site designed for kids ages 3 to 6. This annual award is given to, "only the highest quality children's products in the interactive media category. These are 'no-fail' products, worthy of their cost, and able to keep children engaged for days at a time."
