Webkinz World puts Kinzville on the Map!

DECEMBER 8, 2010 Webkinz® today launches the first phase of an exciting site revamp, unveiling for the first time a map of Kinzville. Webkinz World will never be the same!

All of the most famous landmarks of this leading virtual world, including the Wish Factory, the Curio Shoppe and Kinzville Academy, can be explored via the map.

New members will see question marks on certain buildings. They will have to accomplish tasks before visiting those places (clicking on the question mark will outline the task). Different tasks make up a level, and when a new member passes a level, they will win prizes.

Current Webkinz members can also do the tasks--completing a level awards prizes, and a status increase. Experts who complete all the levels will be awarded a Key to Kinzville to display in their virtual room, and a mayor's outfit!

"Our goal is to make it easier to discover all of the wonders and magic of Webkinz World", said Creative Director Karl Borst. "New members can be overwhelmed by the choices available on the site. By guiding them through the map, we help them learn everything there is to do. Then, as 'experts', they can play games, do odd jobs and earn lots of KinzCash!"

Webkinz World will continue to make announcements in the coming months that will again raise the bar for kid-friendly technology.
