SEPTEMBER 21, 2010 - Webkinz, the original and most successful plush toy with an online world, has leapt out of the browser and into the mobile space on the popular iPhone®, iPod® touch and iPad® platforms.

Ganz launched its first Webkinz app in August 2010 with the release of Goober's Lab. The game did exceptionally well, reaching #1 in the Kids Game category and #6 in the Puzzle Game category.

Now Ganz follows up this success with the release of Polar Plunge. Polar Plunge is one of Webkinz World's™ most popular games with over half a million plays each day. The game features Innukshuk the polar bear barreling down a snow-covered mountain on his sled, avoiding trees, snowmen and igloos on his way to the bottom.

Both games allow players to collect KinzCash™, the currency of Webkinz World, while they play on their mobile device.

"Earning KinzCash is a core part of the Webkinz experience," says Karl Borst, the Creative Director of Webkinz. "When we were building our mobile strategy, it was top of the list. Players can even collect KinzCash playing the game while they don't have an internet connection, and send it to their Webkinz World account when they do. We surprised a lot of members with this feature, and the reaction has been extremely positive."

Webkinz pets combines the timeless fun of plush with the interactivity of the Internet, to give kids an online world where they can adopt and care for their virtual pets, answer trivia, earn KinzCash, and play. Webkinz pets were introduced in April 2005 by Ganz, a third-generation family-run business based in Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada.
